This was another new author for me. Easy reading style with a few spelling errors. It was the story of Mia and Oliver. He was the chef and she was a pastry prodigy taught by her Aunt Roni. They've been friends forever but Ollie never considered it more than that until the culinary challenge. He enlisted Mia to help with the dessert portion of the meal. She outperformed them all! She never thought she was good enough because she didn't have formal training. She ended up proving it to herself in the end and then coming back to Evergreen Hills and Ollie. By the description of the food, I want to eat in their restaurant!
Ollie and Mia are friends who fall in love. Neither is ready to admit they have a romantic connection and a future. It is a warm storyline. I enjoy the fact that is not graphically sexual and can be read by anyone.
