I am compelled to write a review for this book because it really helped me get myself and my family onto a healthier course. I have a LOT of cookbooks and I cook every day. I found this book to be wonderful both in its variety, its simplicity, and in the fact that it provides nutritional information. I have cooked most of the recipes in this book since purchasing it 3 months ago. They require tweaking at times, but overall turn out excellent and flavorful. One thing that struck me was how much flavor all the recipes have though most of the ingredients are pantry staples. I have been so happy with this book that I have recommended it to many friends. My best friend and my mom have both purchased the book and are very pleased as well. I am only sad that the author does not appear to be too prolific in this sphere as I have searched her blog and social media accounts. She is very talented so should continue to write more recipes that we can enjoy! Aside from that, if you are looking for a great book to make your weeknights easier, I could not recommend this enough!
I love this cookbook! I've been looking for a family healthy cookbook that has kids in mind. The recipes are easy to follow and use a lot of normal pantry items. I've made about 10 recipes and we've loved all but one of them! My toddlers have been big fans too!
I really like this book. I was looking for some healthy recipes to make for me and my partner. A lot of them are weird if you aren’t used to eating lots of veggies, but they’re great if you like them lol. Some recipes are vegetarian, must an fyi. This is also a food book if you have a big family as most of the recipes are intended for 6 or so people. Our favorite recipe is the maple glazed chicken with sweet potatoes and green beans.
So I literally never review products but after purchasing this cookbook and making several recipes I had to. I have never been much of a cook but I wanted to change the way my family and I ate. I almost didn’t get this one just because of the lack of pictures but honestly after making some of the food in here I feel so silly for that being the only hindrance. I’m pretty sure my boyfriend is going to propose to me after making him the beef stew recipe lol he loved it so much. The food is so delicious and I can’t find a single complaint about any of it. Which is huge coming from someone who has never been much of healthy eater. My personal favorite is the Sirloins with sweet potatoes and asparagus(pictured)! I absolutely love this cookbook and would recommend it to anyone whether they want to eat healthier or just want to try new recipes!
I am a lover of healthy cookbooks and this one made such a great addition to my collection! I have had this cookbook for months now and have made 15 or more recipes. Nearly all of them were a hit with my husband and two year old son! My favorite part about this cookbook is how quick and easy the recipes are to throw together. She incorporates a lot of healthy yet quickly prepared ingredients like frozen veggies, canned beans and canned tomatoes.
